Lumbee Homecoming Parade Application and Contract 2026

No objects, including candy, may be thrown from any parade participant due to the need to prevent children from running out into the parade entrant's area which can bring them near the tires of the participant's vehicle. My signature below warrants that I, understand this rule and will hold LRDA harmless if injury occurs due to my negligent violation of this rule. Violation of this rule could result in denial of entry in future parades. The right to reject any entry is reserved by the sponsoring agency, or to have any entry removed by law enforcement from the parade violating the cultural and family value aspect of this event, or any acts that might endanger the public such as "burnouts" with any and all type vehicles. Rules will be monitored for violations during the parade by law enforcement and parade volunteers. All walking entries are limited to 10 people.The applicant agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and release Lumbee Regional Development Association, Town of Pembroke, UNC-Pembroke, the Festival Organizers, Richie's Floats and any and all sponsors from any loss, liability, damage or cost, and any and all claims of injury or damages resulting from and/or arising out of their participation in the 2026 Lumbee Homecoming Festival, weather caused by acts of God, weather, negligence or willful act of the Applicant or any other person.

By submitting this application, the Applicant acknowledges and agrees that the Lumbee Regional Development Association (LRDA) and all partnering entities reserve the sole and absolute right to approve or deny any parade entry for any reason deemed appropriate, including but not limited to entries that do not align with the cultural, family-oriented values of the event, present safety concerns, or may be deemed offensive, inappropriate, or disruptive.If an application is denied prior to the parade date, the Applicant may be eligible for a refund of any paid entry fee, as determined by LRDA. However, no refunds shall be issued to any Applicant who is removed, disqualified, or otherwise excluded from participation due to violation of parade rules, misconduct, safety concerns, or failure to comply with event guidelines at any time before or during the parade.LRDA and its partners further reserve the right to remove any participant from the parade route, with or without prior notice, if their conduct, presentation, attire, or actions are determined to be inconsistent with event standards or pose a risk to public safety.By submitting this application and/or participating in the parade, the Applicant expressly agrees to release, waive, and discharge LRDA, the Town of Pembroke, UNC-Pembroke, event organizers, sponsors, and affiliated parties from any and all claims, demands, damages, or causes of action arising out of or related to the denial of an application, removal from the event, or enforcement of parade rules, except where prohibited by law.The Applicant further acknowledges that submission of this application constitutes acceptance of all parade rules, regulations, and policies, and agrees to comply fully with all decisions made by event organizers and law enforcement. By completing this application, you acknowledge and agree to all parade rules, including the Right of Refusal and Liability Waiver.
